Easy ways to enjoy summer at home make even the most low-key days around the house with family more fun, creating great memories that you’ll look back on fondly for years to come.
It’s no secret that I love golden hour, especially in the summer. I really enjoy living by Lake Michigan and admiring its beauty all year round. But there is something about summer golden hour that is truly magical. Even when you get soft light on the water other times of the year, it isn’t quite the same. In summer, the whole atmosphere changes for an hour or so. I look forward to it every single night. As we wrap up summer 2018, I’m sharing some of my favorite golden hour images from the past few months. Enjoy.
The Domes enjoyed the spring Shakespeare theme so much that they decided to create a Shakespeare theme for summer as well. The show has a similar layout but different quotes and corresponding floral displays for summer, including roses (Romeo and Juliet), lilies (Henry VIII), and marigolds (A Winter’s Tale and Cymbeline). Of course, in keeping with the title of the show, there’s a cute bee feature as well. As always, their floral displays are stunning. I love that they kept the gazebo up for the summer show.
