P.F. Chang's Inspired Chicken Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon sriracha
  • 4 ounces water chestnuts drained and chopped
  • 3 green onions thinly sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • lettuce leaves for serving

Instructions

  • Drizzle the olive oil in a large frying pan. Break up the chicken into small chunks. Cook over medium heat, continuing to break up the chicken as it cooks. Drain the fat.
  • Add the garlic and regular onion. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, and sriracha. Mix throughly and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the water chestnuts and green onions. Combine and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Season with salt and pepper as desired.
  • Serve immediately on lettuce leaves. Enjoy!

Notes

It's very easy to double or even triple this recipe. If I'm hosting 6-10 people, I make a double batch!
