This past week our Tommy turned two years old.
Two years later, I’m still in shock that I’m a mom. I’m beyond grateful every single day that Tommy’s amazing birth mom made one of the hardest decisions of her life, giving me the opportunity to become a mom . Raising Tommy is truly an honor for which I will never feel truly worthy.
Despite what a ton of people have told me repeatedly and forcefully, the second year was about ten times more fun than the first year, if not more, and went by so much more quickly. Seriously, how can you even compare rolling over to walking and talking? I know that these third year gains will be significant as well and that it just gets even better from there.
Here’s to two years, and many more ahead, with this awesome human being who gets me outside every single day, constantly pushes me out of my comfort zone with his social skills, is always up for spending time at Lake Michigan, shares my ridiculous love of cats, and is already kicking my butt at every sport he attempts. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Now that we’ve hit the two-year mark, I’ll be transitioning to writing general family updates at the beginning of each month. Watch for my first general update at the beginning of September. Stay tuned for a two-year toddler favorites post as well as an overview of our annual Wisconsin Dells trip later this month.
Tommy is blessed to have you as his mom. What a happy toddler!!! Just adorable! ❤️
