Happy February! It seems fitting to kick off the month with a snow feature, right?
It’s not a secret that I love spending time on the beach all year round. Some of my favorite beach days are actually the days with less than perfect weather – fog, rain, snow, etc. It’s why I created the hashtag #LakeMichigan365 (check it out on Instagram!).
One of my favorite aspects of revisiting familiar beach spots along Lake Michigan season after season is that they’re never the same. Remember in 2016 when there was beach as far as the eye could see, just half a block from our house? (Our water level has been really high since early 2017). Remember in 2017 and 2018 when the beach hardly iced at all? I’m always curious to see what the season ahead will bring, and it never disappoints.
