This past week our Genevieve turned two years old.
Genevieve has really come into her own this past year. She has such a sweet personality and a great sense of humor. Genevieve continues to amaze us with her impressive vocabulary and her determination to keep up with everything that Tommy and Olivia are doing. It’s so much fun to see her playing with both of them all the time now.
In Genevieve’s first birthday post, I talked about how she completed our family perfectly and how I didn’t think I’d ever have one, let alone two, girls. Needless to say, I never imagined that within weeks, I would get pregnant with Annie. We love watching Genevieve as both the little sister and the big sister and the relationships that she has with Tommy, Olivia, and Annie.
We are forever grateful to Olivia and Genevieve’s birth mom for believing in us to be the right family to raise not one but two of her girls. Her selfless love and continued support and involvement mean so much to us. We’re also so grateful to be in touch with their half-siblings’ adoptive families and to have their support and involvement as well.
We look forward to the year ahead and many more beyond that. Happy birthday, Genevieve!
