Easy DIY Fourth of July Decorations

Easy DIY Fourth of July Decorations | http://www.roseclearfield.com

Creating simple, easy decor is one of my favorite ways to celebrate every season and holiday. Easy DIY Fourth of July decorations are no exception. I’ve rounded up a selection of projects that come together in an afternoon or less to dress up both the interior and exterior of your home for the upcoming 4th of July.

Easy DIY Fourth of July Decorations - Free Patriotic 4th of July Nautical Prints via Tater Tots and Jello | http://www.roseclearfield.com

Many of you know that one of my staple methods for switching up decor for different seasons and holidays is free printables. My favorite Fourth of July printables are the pictured From Sea to Shining Sea and waves from Tater Tots and Jello (the post also includes a link to the pictured USA banner!). Check out more prints from Kensie Kate (land of the free, home of the brave, and silhouetted Statue of Liberty and United States map), Yellow Bliss Road (chalkboard designs), Landee See Landee Do (America the Beautiful Est. 1776), and How to Nest for Less (I’m Proud to Be an American lyrics).

I am also a huge fan of canvas art. I rotate the canvas art in our entryway at least once a season to keep it fresh. After you’ve created or collected a selection of canvas art, it’s so simple to keep rotating it. Canvases and acrylic paints are inexpensive and readily available at major craft stores. Get tutorials for tape resistant stars and stripes art from The Pinterested Parent, patriotic handprint flag from She Knows (pictured), land that I love from Landsee See Landee Do, and land of the free because of the brave from That’s What Che Said.

Easy DIY Fourth of July Decorations - Patriotic Burlap Wreath via How to Make a Burlap Wreath | http://www.roseclearfield.com

Hanging a wreath on the front door is an easy way to boost your curb appeal. If you don’t want to hang a wreath on the front door or like to hang multiple wreaths, entryways, living rooms, and kitchens are great places to display wreaths as well. Pick up tutorials from Miss Butterbean (clothespin wreath), Blooming Homestead (patriotic paper pinwheel wreath), How to Make a Burlap Wreath (patriotic burlap wreath, pictured), and Tell Love and Party (fabric rag wreath).

Bunting or a banner is a perfect touch for a mantel or fireplace. I also love hanging bunting in a large doorway or opening between two rooms. Consider tutorials for a stars and stripes banner from The Idea Room, a sewn stars banner from Rosyscription, a denim USA and flags banner from A Pumpkin and a Princess (pictured), and a rag ribbon garland from The Ribbon Retreat.

Easy DIY Fourth of July Decorations - Patriotic String Lights via Jonathan Fong at eHow | http://www.roseclearfield.com

Finally, outdoor lighting is ideal for the Fourth of July because many people celebrate outdoors with grilling, backyard games, fireworks, and more. I love red, white, and blue pool and garden orbs from Beckham and Belle, patriotic mason jar lanterns from The Happy Scraps and Addicted 2 DIY, and patriotic string lights from eHow (pictured).

Did you make one of the easy DIY Fourth of July decorations in this post?

I’d love to see it! Share it on my Facebook page, tag it #RoseClearfield on Instagram or Twitter, or send me a snap (randomcreative).

That wreath is so pretty but also a little daunting! I think I might have to try it though.

I know, it’s a real time commitment! I love the aesthetic, though.

That wreath is SO pretty! I have made a patriotic clothespin wreath in the past, but always want to try something more involved. Maybe I’ll give this wreath a try! Loving all of these great decor suggestions!

I’m about to check out all the canvas art! I bought a value pack on sale back when I did my chevron hand print craft and I still have some begging me to do something with them!

Cute picks! I was thinking of putting a wreath up while we’re in WV, but I can’t figure out how to hang it the way our exterior doors are currently set up.
