Here’s a little peek at what we were up to the past month!
March had some low lows as we battled a couple of different rounds of sickness. Thankfully, we had some highs in the midst of it all and finished out the month with just the tail end of our colds.
We started March with one of the best days of the year thus far. Tommy’s birthday buddy‘s family had an adoption finalization for their son, who has been with them via foster care since he was a month old. They have been some of our best friends for the past six and a half years, and we couldn’t be happier for all of them.
We had quite a bit of nice weather through February and March. The kids were able to get outside at least one or two days almost every week. The kids got a double stomp rocket for Christmas. We got it out for the first time in early March.
I made a few excursions to the Milwaukee Zoo in March, two earlier in the month with the girls and then one at the end of the month for Egg Day with the whole family. Olivia and Genevieve were not very impressed by the tiger in the water. However, I’ll be talking about it for the rest of the year.
We had one get together with my in-laws. The kids got to hang out with one of their cousins.
I brought Genevieve and Annie to the Domes for the last week of this year’s model train show.
Jake took a few days off at the end of the month for my birthday and Easter. I had a low-key birthday at home with lots of good food and time with our immediate family. It was so nice to catch up on a few errands and go to a couple of appointments by myself while Jake was off of work, too.
I got some pictures of the kids outside while my mom was visiting us right before Easter. I brought Annie outside with us. She napped in the stroller while we took a short walk and the kids played in the yard.
We ended the month with Easter. The day before Easter, we met up with friends for Egg Day at the Milwaukee Zoo.
On Easter, the kids opened their baskets, and we had an egg hunt in the yard before church. Genevieve was game to hunt with Tommy and Olivia and managed to snag a few for herself.
