This past week our Annie turned one year old.
We are so ridiculously grateful for our little Annie and all of the joy that she brings to our family. Annie is truly the person that I didn’t know that I needed in my life. We were sure that our family was complete after we adopted Genevieve. Getting pregnant with Annie the same month that we closed out our adoption home study was such an amazing surprise. We can’t imagine our family without Annie now.
Annie is one of the most chill babies that I’ve ever met. She goes with the flow and is happy to play on her own with toys for an hour at a time. Annie has the biggest open-mouth smile and loves playing silly games with her siblings. She gets ideas in her head and won’t let them go until she can make them happen. Annie is always figuring out how things work. I am constantly blown away by how much Annie can do already and know that it will just get better and better, watching her skills develop over the coming months and years.
We are still in shock that Annie is here and are so blessed for every single day that we get with her.
This past year, we have had so much fun getting to know Annie and watching her sunny personality develop. We can’t wait to see what the next year holds and many many years beyond that. Happy birthday, Annie!
