September Clearfield Family Update

Here’s a little peek at what we were up to in September!

ay Beach Amusement Park Ferris Wheel

In my opinion, September is the most underrated month in southeast Wisconsin. I wish that we had September off of school instead of June. We enjoyed the gorgeous weather as much as we could and had a lot of fun this past month.

Lambeau Hall of Fame

We started September in Green Bay for Labor Day weekend. I covered the August part of our trip in my August family update, which included touring Lambeau Field and visiting the National Railroad Museum.

The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion

In September, we went to Mass at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral and visited The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion.

Bay Beach Amusement Park

Then we enjoyed our final afternoon and following final morning at Bay Beach Amusement Park. I can’t say enough good things about Bay Beach. We spent 30 dollars on five and a half hours’ worth of rides, and there were so many rides that all three older kids enjoyed.

Kids Soccer Best

The older three kids started fall soccer in September. After a season off, Tommy returned for U8, and Olivia and Genevieve played the league’s youngest level, Small and Speedy, where they just show up and practice once a week.

Tommy Soccer

We have had a wealth of wonderful weather for practices and games, and the season has been so fulfilling. Tommy has had an excellent coach and a committed team. He’s learned so much and gained a ton of confidence. Olivia and Genevieve love showing up and playing every week, too.

We’ve spent so much time playing in the backyard.

Backyard With Friends

We had a day when we were supposed to go to the zoo with friends, but Jake and Tommy were both home sick. So our friends came over, and we hung out in the yard.

Racine Zoo

Then, a couple of days later, when everyone was feeling better, we went to the zoo.

Fall Domes Show 2024

I took just Annie to the fall show at the Mitchell Park Domes. Moody overcast lighting in the Domes is my favorite, and the fall show is really fabulous.

China Lights Daytime Tour

The girls and I did a daytime tour of China Lights at the botanical gardens with friends. I highly recommend it, especially if you have little kids and/or you can use your Mitchell Park Domes membership reciprocity at the botanical gardens.

Kids Car

Tommy didn’t have a soccer game on the final Sunday of the month. We got together with family after church.

Swan's Pumpkin Farm

We ended the month with an after-school trip to a pumpkin farm. It was such a good way to start the week and to finish out September.
