February Clearfield Family Update

Here’s a little peek at what we were up to this past month!

Back Yard Growth

February was fairly uneventful, with lots of unseasonably warm weather and a fair amount of family time.

Tommy and Annie

I take so many pictures of the kids around the house. Tommy is always very excited to see Annie when he gets home from school.

Genevieve

Genevieve put on the sunglasses and asked me to take pictures of her wearing them completely unprompted.

Tommy and Brookelynn

We had one get-together with my in-laws. My nieces were there as well.

Annie

We put Annie in the Exer-saucer right around the six-month mark, so this is the first month that she’s been using it. Annie still prefers to be crawling around on the floor, but she’ll do short stints in the Exer-saucer and Baby Einstein jumper.

Tommy

Tommy came up with the idea of making a shield with a fleur de lis on it. I helped him find and print the pieces, and then he cut, colored, and assembled everything.

Tommy

We had a visit with Tommy’s birth mom and grandma. We hadn’t seen them since the fall and finally exchanged Christmas presents. They brought Tommy a gemstone digging kit.

Annie

Tommy’s birth family gave Annie this adorable outfit.

Olivia

Every once in a while, Olivia lets me do her hair.

Kids in Yard

Our entire winter was very mild. We had a few especially warm days at the end of the month and got to spend quite a bit of time in the backyard.

Genevieve

I took Genevieve and Annie to an indoor playground with some friends.

Chicago Botanic Garden The Orchid Show of Wonders

I ended the month with a trip to the Chicago Botanic Garden with Genevieve and Annie for their annual orchid show. Leap Day seemed like a good excuse to make it happen this year. The orchid show has a circus theme this year, and it’s truly next level. I have full posts for the 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 shows.

You can find all of my baby/toddler updates for all of the kids as well as general family updates and other family-related posts in the family section of the blog.
