Free printable Irish proverbs wall art are an easy, whimsical home decor idea for St. Patrick’s Day. Many of the prints make great year round wall art as well.
I’ve created 12 8×10 Irish proverbs wall art printables for you, all completely free. Each one features a different popular Irish proverb, accented with green shamrocks. While I designed the printable decor with the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day holiday in mind, all of these proverbs make great year round decor that you can display through every season and holiday.
I have two backgrounds for each Irish proverb. The first background is a vintage dictionary page. Since I created my original set of vintage dictionary page printables, I haven’t stopped creating with them. I have collections available for fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and summer as well as an autumn colors collections. I’ll continue to add more sets over the coming months. If there’s anything you’d like to see here, please let me know!
The second background is the first page of the sheet music for St. Patrick’s Day, which is the patriotic song of Ireland. This particular sheet music comes from The World’s Collection of Patriotic Songs and Airs of Different Nations, copyright 1903. This is a fantastic vintage sheet music collection. I’m working through it slowly and will eventually have the full book available for download.
Each print is available with a white border and without a white border. Depending on the kind of frame you choose and the aesthetic you want to achieve for your Irish proverbs decor, you may prefer one version over the other.

How to print Irish proverbs wall art
Printing free printable home decor is a pretty simple process. I’m sharing my best tips to help you create beautiful prints sized properly for your frames.
Again, please use the download links provided instead of right-click saving the preview images to ensure you’re getting the high-resolution, 8×10 format versions. The preview images are low-resolution and not necessarily formatted for 8×10 printing and framing.
I recommend purchasing Finestra Art Paper for at-home printing with a professional finish or using a reputable printing service, such as SmugMug or Shutterfly. If you print your art at home, white cardstock also works well if you like thicker prints with a darker finish. In a pinch, regular printer paper does work but doesn’t produce great results.
For most of my home printing, I use a laser printer. I highly recommend the Canon Color ImageCLASS printer for color laser printing. For inkjet printing, my current pick is the HP OfficeJet 3830. You won’t get an inkjet printer with better quality or ease of use at this price point.
