Summer means healthy grilling recipes! In Wisconsin, we grill pretty much all year round, even when it’s raining or there’s snow on the ground. But there’s nothing quite like grilling in summer when the weather is warm and the days are long. I love traditional grilling fare just as much as anyone: beef burgers, hot dogs, brats, corn on the cob. I also love chicken and steak kabobs and am not sure how often I’d have to eat them before I got tired of them.
As always, it gets easy to keep rotating through the same recipes and realize that you’ve been eating burgers twice a week for an entire month. There is also an abundance of grilled chicken recipes online. Grilled chicken recipes are awesome (I just said how much I love chicken and steak kabobs, right?), but you don’t necessarily want grilled chicken every single night. Of course, I have included lots of chicken recipes (spoiler alert: including kabobs), but I’ve included lots of non-chicken recipes, too.
Healthy grilling recipes are great because they’re quick, easy, and don’t require a lot of cleanup. When you’re motivated to prep a little bit of extra food, you get leftovers for lunch or dinner the next day, which is always a win in my book. I know that it is for you many of you, too.
