Free Gingerbread Holiday Initial Letter Prints

Free Printable Gingerbread Holiday Initial Letter Prints on Light Wood

Gingerbread holiday initial letter prints are the perfect finishing touch for your entryway, living room, or kitchen Christmas decor.

Free gingerbread holiday initial letter prints are so whimsical and fun. The red and brown gingerbread letters are decorated with snowflakes, white swirls, intricate red detail, and red, green, and brown dots. A holiday initial print is the perfect quick way to decorate for the Christmas season and also makes a great addition to a larger holiday display. I love Christmas initial letter prints for holiday gifts as well. A personalized print is an ideal present for a holiday engagement, wedding, or housewarming.

I’ve created a full set of gingerbread holiday initial letter prints for the entire alphabet. Each letter is available with four different backgrounds. Each design is then available with or without a white border, allowing you to further customize your new art.

Four background choices

Each of the gingerbread holiday initials is available with four different backgrounds, which are as follows.

  • Dark wood. Dark wood planks are my absolute favorite neutral background and look great with numerous decor styles and virtually any classic Christmas decor.
  • Gray wood. If you prefer a lighter wood aesthetic, gray is a perfect choice. You still get a great neutral with a little brighter look than the dark wood.
  • Gray snow bokeh. I love bokeh (an annoying cliche, I know) and decided to use bokeh photos for my remaining two backgrounds for this set of printable wall art. A gray background with soft white bokeh snow is so timeless.
  • Evergreen snow bokeh. I really love soft white snow bokeh against dark green evergreen trees for the holiday season.

About the free gingerbread holiday initial letter prints

The gingerbread holiday initial letter wall art is for personal use only, which includes classroom use. Feel free to make as many prints as you’d like for yourself or to give as gifts. You are not authorized to sell the prints, to use any part of the designs for commercial purposes, or to distribute the download files. If family, friends, or co-workers would like their own gingerbread holiday initial letters, please send them a link to this post, so they can download their own files. Thank you!

I have one ZIP folder for each letter of the alphabet. The ZIP folder contains all four backgrounds for that letter, each with a no border version and a white border version. This means that each ZIP folder contains eight separate image files. I have complete directions for extracting and downloading ZIP folders from Google Drive in my free vintage dictionary pages post. This link takes you right to the directions you need. If you need any additional help, don’t hesitate to ask.

Throughout this post, I have a handful of preview images of the free gingerbread holiday initial letter prints. The previews are low-resolution and not necessarily formatted for 8×10 printing. Please use the download links to access to the high-resolution, 8×10-format images.

Printing the gingerbread holiday initial letter prints

You can print your own gingerbread holiday home decor or send it to a printing service. If you print it yourself, my personal recommendation is to use Finestra Art Paper. It has an acid-free surface to dry the ink quickly, creating crisp, vibrant images. Regular printer paper or white card stock do work but don’t yield results that are quite as nice. It’s worth spending a little more to produce professional-quality wall art.

You can also send your new gingerbread holiday art to a printing service. I use SmugMug for almost all of my photos and wall art. I love SmugMug, but you shouldn’t feel limited to this option. There are a wide variety of great print services, including but not limited to, Shutterfly, Mpix, Costco, FedEx, and Artifact Uprising.

Pick up a frame or set of frames for your new decor! My personal favorite frames are the Belmont Frames line from Michaels. I own several dozen of them and have used them to create lots of gifts over the years. You can’t beat the quality or aesthetic at this price point, and they come in a nice range of neutrals and colors. Michaels has great sales on these frames all the time. I’m also linking a few of my top frame picks from Amazon.
