Vintage Valentines 1920s 1930s Preview 1

Vintage Valentine’s Day cards from the 1920s and 1930s have an aesthetic that you don’t find in modern Valentine’s. The vividness of the colors and level of detail is fantastic. The Valentines are ideal for creating one-of-a-kind Valentines to send to family and friends and for making all sorts of craft projects. Antique Valentine’s Day cards are great for art/junk journals, decoupage, digital and physical scrapbooks, gift tags, mixed media art/collages, and much more.

I’m offering a set of nine vintage Valentine’s Day cards, all from the 1920s and 1930s. You get the original Valentine designs in PNG format as well as 8.5″ x 11″ pages containing the Valentines for easy printing. Enjoy!

If you’re looking for additional vintage Valentine’s Day printables, I also have sets of Valentine’s Day postcards and Valentine’s Day dictionary pages.

About the vintage Valentine’s Day cards

You may use the antique Valentine’s Day cards for as many personal projects as you like, which includes classroom use. You may also use them for limited commercial project runs (5,000 items or less). Commercial use DOES NOT include made-to-order sites, such as CafePress and Society6. Digital commercial items must consist of your own original content and be in flat, finished form (i.e., not Adobe Illustrator files). You’re not authorized to sell the Valentine’s Day cards, either as individual items or as part of larger collections.

Finally, please don’t send the Valentine’s Day files to anyone directly. If friends, family, or co-workers are interested in their own holiday printables, please provide them with a link to the post where they can download their own files. Your support allows me to continue to publish new printable collections. Thank you!

Please note: The images of the Valentines that I share in this post are for preview purposes only. They’re great for viewing the designs and sharing them on social media. They’re not intended for printing. Use the download links to access the high-resolution versions that work well for printing.

Vintage Valentine’s Day card downloads

There are nine vintage Valentine’s Day cards in the collection. All of the Valentines are in PNG format. I’ve split them between two ZIP folders. Each Valentine is a slightly different size. The largest cards are approximately 1450 x 1450 pixels.

Please note that I’ve sized down the cards slightly from their original scans. If you’re interested in larger formats, please let me know!

8.5″ x 11″ pages

I’ve fit all nine antique Valentine’s Day cards on two 8.5″ x 11″ pages for easy printing. You can print the entire collection on two standard-size pieces of printing paper instead of having to print each card individually.

Please note that the preview image above includes a black border, as it gets confusing having so much white space in blog posts. The pages in the download link below don’t have black borders.

I offer the Valentines and 8.5″ x 11″ pages in ZIP folders to provide large files and to protect said files against potential theft. I explain how to extract and download the ZIP folders in Google Drive in my vintage dictionary pages post. The link takes you to the exact directions that you need.
