2017 Goals Summary #4: Photo Editing and Backing Up

I set some really ambitious 2017 goals for myself. I posted regular monthly updates for my goals through May and then continued to work on the goals through the remaining seven months of 2017. I’m sharing my overall outcome with my 2017 goals before sharing my 2018 goals.

Goal #4 was to edit, export, and back up all of my 2015 and 2016 photos. I went into 2017 with a huge backlog of photos in Lightroom. I was way overdue to get caught up on editing and clean up my Lightroom catalog. I also wanted to make room on my hard drive for photos from our 2017 Europe trip. Although I didn’t spell out a goal for new photo editing, exporting, and backing up (aka keeping up with 2017 photos), keeping up was part of this goal.

Braces as an Adult: Month 10

Braces as an Adult: Month 10 | https://www.roseclearfield.com

This past Monday marks 10 months with braces. (As always, it’s not like I’m counting or anything.) Reaching 10 months means that if things keep moving on track (which it seems like they have been thus far), I’m in the downward slope. More than halfway! It’s so exciting to think that by this time next year, my braces will (hopefully!) be off.

When I wrote my initial post after my first month with braces, I said that I would put together a handful of posts about my journey with braces as an adult. I’m not sharing monthly updates, extensive details about exactly what I’m getting fixed, or lots of before/after photos. But I am putting together updates every three months or so, discussing what this process is really like as an adult.

2017 Goals Summary #3: Home Projects

I set some really ambitious 2017 goals for myself. I posted regular monthly updates for my goals through May and then continued to work on the goals through the remaining seven months of 2017. I’m sharing my overall outcome with my 2017 goals before sharing my 2018 goals.

Goal #3 was to finish all major home painting projects, home framing projects, and other home organization projects. I accomplished a lot on our “forever” home in late 2015 (when we moved in) through the end of 2016 and wanted to get as much as possible wrapped up by the end of 2017. Contrary to popular belief, I do not love home decorating. I felt like I had to do a lot with this house because we intend for it to be our forever home. Although you’re never really done working on a house, I needed to feel like there’s an end point to the big projects. Hence, I set this goal.

2017 Goals Summary #2A: Pinterest Followers

I set some really ambitious 2017 goals for myself. I posted regular monthly updates for my goals through May and then continued to work on the goals through the remaining seven months of 2017. I’m sharing my overall outcome with my 2017 goals before sharing my 2018 goals.

Goal #2A was to reach 2,000 Pinterest followers. I started 2017 with 1,185 Pinterest followers. I ended 2017 with 2,337 followers. I hit my 2,000 target in mid-September. I didn’t quite double my Pinterest followers, but I came really close (2,370 would have been an exact double). So we’re calling it a double for this post.
