Many readers already know that I love the aesthetic of sheet music, especially vintage sheet music. I’m a little bit obsessed with using sheet music for all sorts of DIY projects. Sometimes I even create my own vintage sheet music for handmade endeavors. But there’s nothing quite like using genuine sheet music.
The original set of vintage hymns sheet music printables I created has been much more successful than I ever imagined. So I’ve slowly been creating more sets of vintage hymns for specific occasions. I’ve already released Christmas hymns and hymns for baptism. Now I’m releasing printable hymns for Easter.
This collection includes 27 hymns from three different hymn books. There are hymns for Lent and Passiontide, Palm Sunday, and Easter, including two Easter hymns in Latin. The vintage hymns are perfect for masses and church services as well as DIY projects and one-of-a-kind holiday wall decor.

How to use free printable vintage hymns for Easter
- Lent, Palm Sunday, and Easter masses and services. Vintage hymns are ideal for choir books, bulletin inserts, and worship aids during the Easter season.
- Wall art. One of the most popular ways to use vintage sheet music and other vintage book pages is to create handmade wall art. My DIY Easter sheet music wall decor project is perfect for vintage music. Antique Easter hymns create gorgeous wall art on their own or overlaid with text and/or images, such as prayers, scripture verses, and seasonal/holiday messages.
- Home decor holiday projects. Vintage hymns are ideal for DIY sheet music plastic Easter eggs. You can also create holiday versions of a number of my other DIY home decor projects, such as tile coasters and glass magnets.
- Greeting cards. Antique hymns create a beautiful background for all types of greeting cards, including Easter cards. I have a sheet music card example in 10 simple DIY Easter cards.
- Scrapbooking. Vintage music creates whimsical backgrounds for both physical and digital scrapbook pages. Antique sheet music is also great for DIY scrapbook embellishments.
- Prayer/spiritual journals. Use vintage Easter hymns as backgrounds or page components for prayer/spiritual journal pages during the Easter season.
About the free printable vintage hymns for Easter
I’ve created JPG and PDF versions of all of the free printable hymns for Easter. I know that many readers are here looking for printable sheet music in PDF form. I know that many readers are also here looking for sheet music hymns for DIY projects and most likely prefer JPG format.
The vintage hymns for Easter are for personal use only. You may print them as many times as you wish, including for church choir, community choir, Sunday school, and classroom use. Please don’t distribute the download files. If friends, family, or fellow choir directors would like their own sheet music, please send them a link to this post. Thanks!
The majority of the hymns in this collection are from The St. Gregory Hymnal, which is from 1920. A number of the Easter hymns are from two other hymnals: The American Hymnal, which is from 1926, and Favorite Hymns, which is from 1933. The Easter hymns are labeled by hymn book accordingly.

Extracting and downloading the full ZIP folders
Please note that extracting and downloading the full JPG sets of vintage Easter hymns will take some time.
- When you click on the full collection link, select the Open with ZIP Extractor option at the top of the page.
- The folder will open in a new window. The files will download.
- After the files have downloaded, click Extract Now.
- When the files have extracted, click View Extracted Files.
- Double click on the folder.
- To download, choose the files you want to download. Click the three horizontal dots More Actions button. Select Download.
- Follow the prompts on the download screen.
- I strongly suggest moving your downloaded files out of your downloads folder and into your main photos folder. Make sure to keep them in a folder labeled “Vintage Easter Hymns” or something similar, so you can find them easily.
